Visitors to China from Germany and France ( line graph 2 )

             This is line graph gives us information about the number of visitors to China from Germany and France. The time scale is from 1998 to 2007.

                At the start of the period in question 180,000 visitors from France compared to 220,000 visitors from Germany came. From 1998 to 2000 there was slight increase in visitors from Germany after that there was a sharp rise from 2000 until 2001. From 1998 to 1999 there was sharp decrease in visitors from France before it rose steadily. From 2000 until 2001 there was a sharp rise in visitors from France then it reached a peak at 600,000 in 2001 before it sharply dropped again from 2002 to 2005. There was steady decrease in visitors from France before it started to increase again. From 2001 to 2002 there was steep rise in visitors from Germany before it dropped. From 2003 until 2005 there was a steady decrease in visitors from Germany. From 2005 to 2006 there was a great rise in visitors from Germany then from 2006 until 2007 there was steep rise in visitors from Germany.

             Overall, the graph shows there was wide gap between number of visitors from Germany and France to China, and the number of visitors of France was bigger than Germany.    

Personal Reflection #6

              Now I am in second year in my college, first semester was very good, because I had learn many things that help my in this term. So, in this essay I’m going to write about the skills that I had learned (reading, writing, listening) during this term. How I improved, and how I feel these skills will help me in my chosen area of study, and profession.

             This term was so difficult for me, so that pushed me to study hard and organize my time very well, by increasing my hours of studding in every subject. Then, by doing more exercise and study from the papers that our teacher gave to us, my skills improve because now I can write any kind of essay easily without any mistake and now my language improved a lot. Also now I can answer the reading questions more easily than before because my teacher given me many practice to improve my performance. Beside all that my listening skill had been totally improved because now l can understand any English movies without looking to the translation. And all of that return to our wonderful teacher who was so patient and helpful with all of us.  After I finish this term I going to choose business as my subject I feel that all this practice and hard work will make me better to graduate by high mark, then it will be easier to have job.

         In the end, I have learned that because I study more and I increased my knowledge in the college and for my job in future.

              

Blocking Websites (Argument 1)

            In the U.A.E, Etisalat is the best company for telephone services. Some people agree with Etisalat blocking internet access to websites deemed counter to the country’s morality standards. This essay will talk about blocking websites and about the pros and cons.    

           There are several major advantages about Etisalat blocking websites. First, children can’t see the bad websites with bad pictures and videos for example; some websites teach children bad things. Secondly, we can use only the right websites to develop the country because there are some websites that have dangerous effects on our country. Also, when blocking websites nobody can use the websites (bad websites) that affect people. Lastly, when using this system nobody can see hacker’s websites because we block websites. Also, when we block websites bad people cannot change the matters of the country.

           However, there are many important disadvantages about blocking websites. The first disadvantage is some people think this system is not a free system to block websites in the internet, because some people need some blocked websites to develop their skills. Secondly, many people have many ideas about the websites and when we block websites he can’t follow his ideas about developing the websites. Finally, some people like to publish what they think and this system can’t allow this. For example, some people want to establish sides but some problems will be facing him because some websites are blocked.

        In conclusion, I think there are many advantages and disadvantages about blocking websites. In my opinion, l prefer this system of blocking sites because it has many benefits in our life, So we must still block websites for the future for all people when we use the websites, to use  them in the right way.          

Visitors from Canada and Spain (line graph 1)

               This line chart shows the number of visitors to Canada from Spain and Japan from 1996 and 2006. This essay, will explain some differences and similarities in the line chart between the countries.

              Starting in 1996, there was a significant difference in the number of visitors from Spain to Canada. There were almost 300,000 Spanish visitors, compared to 850,000 Japanese visitors. Secondly, in 1997 the number of visitors from Spain increased to 400,000 visitors, on the other hand the Japan visitors had a small decrease to 830,000 Japanese visitors. Also, in 1998 the number of visitors from Spain had a small increase to 440,000 visitors, compared to 860,000 Japanese visitors. Then in 1999, the number of visitors from Spain sharply increased to 640,000 and the number of Japanese showed a small decrease to 820,000 visitors. Moreover, the number of Spanish visitors grew slowly, while the lowest Japanese visitors to Canada were lower in 2009. From 2000 to 2006 the number of visitors fluctuated greatly.

             In conclusion, during the ten years seen on the graph, the number of Japanese visitors outnumbered the Spanish visitors although the number of visitors from Spain increased every year, until the end.                             

Making the Mobile phone illegal ( Argument #5 )

               Mobile phone use has both positive and negative aspects. This essay will discuss the pros and cons of making it illegal to speak on the phone while driving.

               Let me deal with the positive side of mobile phone use. The main point, I would like to describe is that while talking your are not focused on driving For example, If you hear bad news you might get angry and get distracted. A second point is that while you are talking on the phone it is easy to hare an accident because when you are talking you drive too fast without feeling it. I can also argue that if you use the mobile phone you think about talking and you think to solve the problem if you have a problem and not think about driving.

             I think there are also negative arguments against the topic. In case of an emergency like you need to call for help for example, if you sick. The most important point is that if you need to use the map application on your phone and you need to see the screen of your mobile phone. Another point, business men need to talk because he has important business calls to take.

            In conclusion, I think I agree with making the mobile phone illegal, because the life of people is most important than anything in the world. In my opinion we must make the use of mobile phone in illegal when we drive.    

                         

Examinations ( Argument 2)

                * The examination is the most common way of assessing the student in most countries in the world. This essay wills discuses about the positives and negatives of examinations.

               * Let me deal first with the positive side of examinations. The main positive point I would like to describe is that the examinations help the student to know their level because the marks of exams give a view of the skill level. Second point that the examinations help the students to review materials and this helps the student to remember the information. The third point is that the examination is equal for all students and gives all students examined the same opportunity.     

              * I think there are also negative points of examinations. I think the most important point is that an examination has too much material for the student and this support made the student more nervous and less concentrated. A further point is that examinations do not have enough time to give a complete answer or complete most questions. Also, recent research has shown that it’s difficult to grade for teachers.

            * In conclusion, I think the education will be better with examinations because it gives a good view of the student level, but also this includes the reports and projects which help teacher for grading.      

Marriage

          The marriage in the past is different from the marriage in these days because the marriage now is too expensive, this essay l will write about on solving of the marriage problem.                                                                                      

          There are many reasons for the marriage problem. First cause is that the marriage in our country is too expensive to make a good wedding and the man need to take a loan which impact on him so, we must to make a small wedding and we not need to make a big one. Also, we must to encourage the youth to marry with less expense. The U.A.E government has a great role to solve the youth in marriage. The governments established the marriage fund which helps the youth to marry. Finally, the government must be to encourage the Emirati people to marry locally and try to decrease the marriage with non emirates.          

           Overall, the marriage is good value in our life and we must to help us to solve the marriage problems. 

Spending time and money

             The two graphs show the spending on leisure products in the UK by age group. The two graphs describe the percentage of spending on books & magazines, gardening, photography, other hobbies, sports and electronic equipment.

            First, electronic equipment is the highest of two groups and the percentage is 41% in group A(20-30), and decreases to 38% in group B (50-60), second, group B {the people aged 50 - 60} like books and magazines at 28%, which is more than people aged 20 - 30 at 16%. The people aged 50 - 60,  spend their time and money on gardening more than people aged 20 - 30 and the percentage of gardening in group B is 16% on the other hand, group A is at 7%.The sports spending increases in group A to 20%, but decreases in group B  to 5%. So group A (ages 20 t0 30) likes sports more than group B age 50 to 60 and the photography is the same percentage in two groups (5%).

  In summary, most people in the two groups like to spend their time and money on the electronic equipment and books and magazines. 

Traffic accident in the U.A.E

             The traffic accidents in U.A.E are high and increasing. So U.A.E has implemented many solutions to decrease traffic accidents. This essay is about the causes and how this problem can be solved.

           Overall, in the last five years the traffic accidents in U.A.E have increased. First, many young men drive their cars at high speeds that causes many accidents. Second, some people do not care about the traffic rules so that causes many problems like accidents and serious injuries. As a result, that will decrease the population of the U.A.E .Many young people drive their cars without licenses in many places like outside the capital. So, this is a big problem in the street and it causes accidents.

Fortunately, they have many solutions for this problem. The first solution is we must give advice by explaining the danger of traffic accidents and how to avoid this problem to people. Secondly, we must increase the fines on the people who drive their car at high speeds. For example, when the policeman catches the person who drives his car too fast in the street, he must take his car to the police station and pay a big fine. Finally, we must to make interviews with police men to give people some advices, about good driving.  

           In summary, we must respect the rules of the traffic to decrease the traffic accidents. When people respect the rules they will live in our country without any traffic accidents and without any serious injuries.    

Comparison between US, Canada and Mexico

The table shows some differences between three countries in North America .This essay talks about the differences and similarities between these countries, and compares between a United States, Canada and Mexico.

            First, United States has more population compared to Mexico and Canada. Also, in language Mexico speaks Spanish but United States speaks English, and Canada speaks both English and French. On the other hand, the land area of United State and Canada were similar, but Mexico is smaller than the others .The religion for the three countries are the same Protestant, Roman Catholic .Fourth,  the Literacy rate for Canada and a United States are 97% but Mexico has 92%, for Unemployment rate for the United State, Canada and Mexico are 5.5, 7 and 3.2 respectively. For exports, there is a differs between each other. For example,  United State exports aquiculture products, industrial supplies and automobiles, and Canada exports motor vehicles, industrial machinery, aircraft and telecommunication equipment. Finally, Mexico exports manufactured goods, silver, oil and vegetables.

              In summary there are differences and also some similarities between these countries. All in all, the United States outweighs Canada and Mexico in many areas.   

Obesity in the U.A.E

        Obesity in the U.A.E is a very dangerous problem that causes many diseases. So, this essay will talk about the causes of obesity in the U.A.E and solutions.

        First, our usual diet can cause many problems to our health. For example, the traditional foods while were special and eaten every day. Also, too much food offered at every meal can cause obesity. Secondly, our life style also affects negatively health, like, when we spend more money on food .Also; many people do not to do any exercise. Finally, there is another reason for the cause of obesity in U.A.E that is many of us lack the knowledge about good eating habits and have not enough awareness of health issues.

Overall, we need to be more careful about our health by increasing our knowledge about health. Also, we need more clubs to facilitate the service for people. Finally, we must change many bad eating habits. This will increase our knowledge to face the problem of obesity.

In conclusion, a healthy lifestyle plus a healthy diet can protect us from a silent death which is obesity.

Reasons for Choosing a University

             The chart shows 11 reasons why first year students from overseas chose a particular university. The survey of 1,000 first year overseas students was carried out at universities in the UK. The top three reasons are language of tuition, quality of teachers, and up-to-date teaching facilities.

             According to the graph, the main reason is the language. At 95 percent of the sample, it was the main reason most students gave for choosing a university. The second biggest factor was quality of teachers, at 90%, followed by facilities, also at 90%.

           Non-teaching factors were also important. Costs of tuition were quoted as a reason by 75%, and location was mentioned by 70% of students. The cost of accommodation is also an important factor for 80% of respondents. Almost two-thirds of students said that the friendliness of the university was important.

          In conclusion the various factors can be divided into two groups, namely those related to teaching and non-teaching related. However, the most important are the language and the teachers.

Water Use in Gulf Countries 2000

                The chart compares the water uses in Gulf countries in 2000. The general trend in all 6 countries was that water for agriculture and domestic uses were the two most important uses. Water for industrial use was the least important use.

               In four of the six countries, water for agriculture was the most important use. In Qatar, Oman, the UAE and Saudi Arabia more than 2 times the amount of water was used for agriculture compared to domestic use which was the second most important use. In the other two countries, Bahrain and Kuwait, domestic use was the most important use and agriculture was the second most important use. In all six countries industrial use was the least important use.

            In conclusion we can see that in 2000 industrial use was not as important as domestic use or agriculture in these 6 Gulf countries.

Camping in the desert

                    One dark and starry night in the desert near place, I was camping with my cousins and friends. The weather was a very nice and we were very happy.

                    First, we started to build the tents in the desert, after that, we put our food and drinks inside the tents. Then we made small fire to cook the meat and we ate dinner then had relaxed for sometimes. Awhile we talked about some horror stories .Suddenly, we heard some sounds coming near to us .We felt afraid and we were starting to search for the direct source of this sound, then we found it behind one hill. When we went there, we saw a high fire and around this fire we found some people dancing with bad faces. We felt afraid, and then we started to run away from this place back to our camping site .We left everything and drove our car with high speed to come back to our city.

              This day was an interesting and scaring day that I saw in my life but I do not want to repeat this day in this way.

My story in Abu Dhabi

        One day, I want to Abu Dhabi Mall with my friend to shop because Abu Dhabi mall has wonderful shops and things. When we were there, some problems happened in the mall. Now, this essay will tell you what actually happened there.

         When we were walking in the mall, we saw two men running away from a shop and a shop and at this moment we did not understand what happened in that shop. After  that we heard somebody screamed “thieves ,thieves ‘’.After that ,we ran behind them .And I was trying to catch one of them ,but suddenly he fell to the ground and he lost his consciousness ,because he was running for a long time .After that the policeman caught  the other one .So the policeman put them in the police car.

        All in all, the policeman told me “You did the best job “.I prefer to help all people and me advice all people to help the police officer to make safe country.
